You were fabulous tonight at the Exit, Mo. I thought it was really interesting how you said that scenes that echo traumatic (yet not necessarily taboo) personal experiences of yours are waaaay more challenging emotionally than the edgiest, most politically incorrect, yet non-personal scenes. I had never thought of that before, but now that I do I admit it would probably be way easier for me to play being a 12 year old German Jewish victim of the Nazis in 1939; than a 12 year old New York elementary school student getting her pants pulled down and teased for being fat in 1990. ;)
Also it was great watching how squirmy and turned on everyone got during the story of your first time. Myself included, of course.
I love how a great performer like you can pull a room of strangers into a kind of group experience where they feel and think the same things at the same time.
The show was a really cool mix of public and private space–one part play, one part class, one part group therapy…with a little dash of verbal porn.
Bravo.
